explain the expectations and policies
associated with our website, ceremonies,
retreats, practitioner training, and
related educational offerings.
BUFAYA is operated by BUFAYA S.A.C.S.,
a company registered in Peru.
By using this website, you agree to
the website-related provisions of these Terms.
Enrollment in a program may require
additional agreements, health screening,
and informed consent.
About BUFAYA
BUFAYA provides educational experiences, practitioner training, retreats, and ceremonies centered on entheogenic medicine, preparation, integration, discernment, and personal responsibility.
Our work emphasizes informed participation, respect for individual boundaries, continued learning, and responsibility toward the people we serve.
Website Use & Eligibility
Visitors agree to use the BUFAYA website lawfully and respectfully. Unauthorized reproduction of website materials, impersonation, misuse of forms, or interference with website security is prohibited.
Practitioner training, ceremonies, and medicine-related retreats are intended for adults aged 18 and older.
Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance or eligibility to participate in any program.
Applications & Acceptance
Applicants are expected to provide accurate and complete information throughout the application and screening process.
BUFAYA reviews applications with consideration for readiness, individual circumstances, program requirements, and safety.
BUFAYA may decline an application or determine that participation in a particular activity is not appropriate, subject to applicable law.
Practitioner Training Commitment
BUFAYA Practitioner Training is one continuous educational program consisting of online foundations, immersive learning, and supervised practical experience.
Each phase builds upon the previous one. The online portion is not a standalone course, and the in-person immersions are required components of the training.
Enrollment represents a commitment to the entire program.
Once online training begins, the student is considered to have commenced the full program.
Voluntary withdrawal, missed classes, failure to attend an immersion, or early departure does not entitle the student to a refund, partial refund, credit, or transfer, except where required by applicable law.
Students are responsible for arranging their schedules, travel, and personal commitments to participate in all required phases.
Exceptional circumstances may be reviewed individually by BUFAYA, but such review does not guarantee a refund, credit, or deferral.
Training Completion & Certification
Participation in BUFAYA Practitioner Training does not automatically qualify or authorize a student to serve entheogenic medicine independently.
Training completion and any acknowledgment of competency may depend on attendance, participation, supervised practice, demonstrated understanding, boundaries, and readiness.
Completion does not guarantee professional licensure, legal authorization, employment, or any particular professional outcome.
Payments & Enrollment
Program fees, payment schedules, deposits, and any additional expenses will be communicated before enrollment.
An application alone does not establish enrollment or create a payment obligation.
Participants are responsible for reviewing the total cost, payment deadlines, and included services before accepting an enrollment offer.
Any payment plan or installment arrangement will be governed by the terms agreed upon at enrollment.
Refunds & Cancellations
Payments toward BUFAYA programs are generally nonrefundable, except where BUFAYA cancels the program or where a refund is required by applicable law.
Different attendance and cancellation requirements apply to individual ceremonies, multi-day retreats, and practitioner training.
Individual Ceremonies
Participants must provide at least 48 hours' notice before their scheduled individual ceremony to request rescheduling.
Eligible rescheduling requests may receive a nontransferable credit valid for 12 months from the original ceremony date.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the ceremony and failure to attend without appropriate notice are not eligible for refunds, credits, or rescheduling, except where required by applicable law.
Practitioner Training
Once the online portion of practitioner training begins, the entire program is considered underway.
No refunds, credits, or transfers are provided for voluntary withdrawal, missed training sessions, failure to attend required immersions, or early departure, except where required by applicable law.
Multi-Day Retreats
Multi-day retreats are subject to the cancellation and credit conditions disclosed in their specific booking agreements.
The 48-hour rescheduling rule for individual ceremonies does not automatically apply to multi-day retreats.
Early Departure
Participants who voluntarily leave a retreat or training after it has begun are not entitled to refunds, partial refunds, credits, or transfers for unused services or program days, except where required by law.
Cancellation by BUFAYA
If BUFAYA cancels a program, participants will be offered a refund of payments made toward the canceled program or the option to transfer those payments to another available program, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be waived.
Program Credits
Where BUFAYA approves a program credit, that credit is valid for 12 months from the original scheduled program start date.
Credits are nontransferable. They may only be used by the original participant and cannot be sold, gifted, or transferred to another person.
Eligible credits may be applied toward an available BUFAYA retreat or practitioner training program, subject to approval and any program-specific restrictions.
Future participation remains subject to availability, application approval, and health and safety screening.
Participants are responsible for any difference in pricing. Unused credits expire after 12 months and cannot be redeemed for cash, except where required by applicable law.
Health, Screening & Safety
Participation in certain BUFAYA programs may involve physical, psychological, and emotional risks.
Applicants may be required to disclose relevant medical conditions, medications, mental health considerations, and other information necessary for screening.
Participants must provide truthful and current information and communicate relevant changes before participating.
Participants should never discontinue or alter prescribed medications without consulting their prescribing healthcare professional.
BUFAYA may restrict or discontinue participation in an activity when safety concerns arise, subject to applicable law and enrollment terms.
BUFAYA does not provide medical or psychiatric diagnosis or treatment. Its programs are not substitutes for professional medical or mental health care.
Respect, Conduct & Community Standards
BUFAYA is committed to maintaining a respectful and responsible environment throughout ceremonies, retreats, practitioner training, and group activities.
All participants, students, practitioners, and staff are expected to treat one another with dignity, consideration, and respect.
BUFAYA maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment, bullying, intimidation, threats, discrimination, sexual misconduct, unwanted physical contact, violations of consent, and abusive behavior.
Differences in opinion, personal beliefs, and individual experiences are welcome. Respectful disagreement is not misconduct.
Serious violations may result in immediate removal from a ceremony, retreat, training, or other activity without prior warning.
Depending on the nature and severity of the conduct, BUFAYA may permanently prohibit an individual from attending future ceremonies, retreats, practitioner training, or other BUFAYA programs.
Removal for misconduct does not automatically entitle a participant to a refund, credit, or transfer. Applicable remedies will be determined according to the circumstances, enrollment agreement, and governing law.
Open Door Policy & Participant Concerns
BUFAYA maintains an open door policy for students, participants, and members of our community.
We recognize that group settings bring together individuals with different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences. Misunderstandings or uncomfortable situations may sometimes arise.
If you experience or witness concerning behavior, feel that your boundaries have been crossed, or have concerns about another participant, student, practitioner, or staff member, we encourage you to contact BUFAYA directly.
You are not required to confront another individual before raising a concern.
Concerns will be approached with discretion, fairness, and consideration for everyone involved. BUFAYA will review reported circumstances and take appropriate action when necessary.
Retaliation, intimidation, or mistreatment toward anyone raising a concern in good faith is prohibited.
Concerns may also involve BUFAYA's teachers, facilitators, or leadership. Every individual involved in this work is accountable for their conduct, regardless of position.
While privacy is respected, complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed when information must be shared to address safety concerns, review incidents, or comply with law.
Participants may raise concerns privately, in person, or by emailing info@bufaya.com .
Preparation & Participation
Participants are expected to review and follow applicable preparation instructions and program guidelines.
Students are expected to attend required educational sessions, participate respectfully, remain open to feedback, and communicate concerns when they arise.
Individual eligibility for medicine-related activities remains subject to screening and informed consent.
Travel, Accommodation & Emergencies
Certain BUFAYA programs take place in Peru and may involve travel to remote locations.
Participants are responsible for valid travel documents, personal travel arrangements, and any expenses not expressly included in their program.
Accommodation, meals, transfers, and other inclusions will be described in the applicable program offer.
Participants are encouraged to obtain suitable travel medical insurance, including emergency evacuation coverage where appropriate, and to review exclusions for medicine-related activities.
In an emergency, BUFAYA may seek appropriate assistance according to the circumstances and available resources. Responsibility for additional costs will be determined by applicable agreements and law.
Program Changes
Program schedules, accommodations, facilitators, or activities may occasionally require adjustments due to operational circumstances, safety considerations, or events outside BUFAYA's reasonable control.
BUFAYA will communicate significant changes as soon as reasonably possible.
If a paid program is canceled or materially changed, applicable remedies will be determined according to the enrollment agreement and consumer protection law.
Privacy & Confidentiality
BUFAYA respects the personal information and private experiences shared by applicants and participants.
Participants are expected to respect the privacy of others and avoid sharing identifying details or private disclosures without permission.
Confidentiality does not prevent disclosures required by law or necessary to address serious safety concerns.
For information about the collection and use of personal data, please review our Privacy Policy .
Photography, Video & Testimonials
BUFAYA may document educational activities, retreats, and community experiences.
Identifiable photographs, recordings, testimonials, or personal stories will require appropriate permission before promotional use.
Participation in a BUFAYA program does not automatically grant permission to use someone's image, voice, or private experiences for marketing.
Independent Practitioners
BUFAYA may provide information about independent practitioners through its website or community.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, independent practitioners are responsible for their own services, screening procedures, professional conduct, and legal compliance.
A practitioner listing does not guarantee any particular outcome or replace an individual's responsibility to make informed decisions.
Intellectual Property
BUFAYA's original educational materials, website content, graphics, photographs, and other original works are owned by BUFAYA or used with permission, unless otherwise indicated.
Materials may not be reproduced, redistributed, sold, or presented as another person's work without authorization, except where permitted by applicable law.
Educational Purpose & Limitations
BUFAYA's programs are educational and experiential in nature.
Individual responses and outcomes vary. BUFAYA does not guarantee specific physical, psychological, emotional, or spiritual outcomes.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for negligence, misconduct, or other matters where such exclusion is prohibited by law.
Applicable Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable Peruvian law, subject to mandatory consumer protections and any other laws that may apply.
Individuals are encouraged to contact BUFAYA with concerns so matters can be reviewed and addressed.
Nothing in these Terms prevents individuals from exercising rights or accessing remedies available under law.
